Cannabis price data for press
Weedy Deal publishes a live cannabis price index for every market it covers, computed four times a day from dispensaries' own public menus. Week-over-week movement is measured on a matched basket, the same method national statistics agencies use for consumer prices, so coverage changes can never masquerade as price swings. Every figure below is free to publish with attribution to Weedy Deal (weedydeal.com).

Methodology
Prices are read from each dispensary's own public online menu, re-scraped four times daily. A deal counts only if it appeared in the shop's most recent successful scrape and is valid today. Storewide and broad percentage-off promotions spanning three or more products are excluded, because their lowest qualifying item is not a price any shopper is guaranteed. Values outside a plausible per-category band are dropped as menu-parsing errors.
Week-over-week movement is a matched-basket statistic: only products (same shop, brand, item and size) priced in both the trailing seven days and the seven before that are compared, and the reported change is the average of item-level changes (a Jevons index). The multi-week series chains those weekly links, so growth in our own scraping coverage can never appear as a price move. Categories publish a median only when at least five dispensaries stand behind it, and a weekly change only when at least 500 products match across both weeks.
Each market's index page states its own figures, sample sizes and this methodology in full.
